No One Killed Jessica Movie Review

Director Rajkumar Gupta has quite satisfactorily dramatized the much talked Jessica Lall murder case. The director has wonderfully represented the aftermath of the murder with help of main characters of Sabrina Lall (played by Vidya Balan) and a journalist (played by Rani Mukerji).

The murder case, which mainly accused Manu Sharma, the son of a renowned politician, created a furor among the media and common people in Delhi, where it happened. The film showed how Sabrina with the help of media brought justice to her late sister. Manu Sharma eventually got life imprisonment after a forced retrial.

Gupta has wisely chosen the topic, which has emotional touch with everyone in the country. It offers reality mixed with some fiction to keep the entertainment level intact.

Vidya Balan has convincingly played the role of Sabrina and her drab look with spectacles is totally opposite her murdered sister Jessica, who was a renowned model. Vidya has brought the anguish and strength in her character, which have been experienced by Sabrina in real life.

Rajesh Sharma as the cop has also done a good job. His character openly discloses Sabrina that he has taken bribe in the case and that is quite normal.

Rani Mukerji has turned a strong and open minded journalist Meera, who helps Sabrina to handle the pressure and reopen the case to establish the charge on Manu Sharma. Rani is foul mouthed and smokes in the film and that only establishes the independence and strength of her character in the film.

The film will bring different emotions like anger, bitterness, sadness and above all the confidence to fight for the justice.

So, don’t miss to watch out the strongest movie of the first month of 2011!

Yamla Pagla Deewana Review

Directed by Samir Karnik, Yamla Pagla Deewana is a frothy and fun-filled movie that will have the audience in splits. It is a film that is all about the Deol trio of Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby who conjure up a great on-screen camaraderie to dish out a laugh riot.

The film is firstly and thankfully not a slapstick though there are hints of spoofy gags. It also relies on the image of the Deols while outlining their characters. For instance, Bobby has been presented mostly as a lover boy while Sunny breaks bones and also mimics the now-famous hand-pump scene from Gadar.

Dharmendra is a delight to watch and will tickle your bones with some of his witty one-liners. The entire film is a comedy of errors with a pretty hotchpotch storyline. Bobby plays Gajodhar and wants to marry Saheba (essayed by newcomer Kulraj Randhawa). But Saheba’s brothers decide to accept Sunny Deol as their potential ‘damaad’.

Sunny plays Paramveer who reunites with his lost dad and brother in the first few minutes of the film. Thereafter, the trio indulge in their antics and draw huge guffaws from the audience.

Though the performances are commendable, the music of the film is weak and has got only the title track to boast for. But chuckles are guaranteed with some genuinely hilarious moments. However, had the editing team done a better job, the film could have been much better. Nevertheless, it is a watchable flick if you wanna laugh out loud.

Ramaa: The Saviour is a Bollywood Adventure film produced by Paul London, written by Reshu Nath and directed by Hadi Ali Abrar. The film stars Sahil Khan and Tanushree Dutta and features the WWE Wrestler, The Great Khali in his second Indian movie after Kushti.

Ramaa: the Saviour is a fast-paced, edge-of-your seat jungle adventure film with a central cast of children. It's a story of six kids - Rohan, Riddhi, Kunal, Komal ,Sameer and Saanjh. Rohan and Riddhi are siblings studying in a public school with Sameer, while Kunal and Komal study in an international school. They face each other in a dance competition where they each try to beat the other, but the competition ends in a tie. As their prize, these 6 kids become first to play a newly launched video game, "The Last Battle."

While playing the game, the game room starts flickering and before any one can realize, the kids find themselves on a life boat in the middle of the Ocean. Before they can even decide what to do next, sharks attack them, but the kids manage to escape and they end up on an isolated island.

Exploring the island, the children run into a spot of trouble. Riddhi is attacked by giant creature of a man, Vali (The Great Khali), who is almost twice the size of anyone else. But she is rescued by a young man, Ramaa (Sahil Khan) who has been living in this jungle, all alone, all his life. As Ramaa comes to know these children, and learns more about the outside world, and as the children, bickering amongst themselves and yet working together, learn more about Ramaa's world, they are all unaware that danger has already arrived.

Danger arrives in the form of a boat commanded by Kali with a small army of mercenaries, and a brilliant and beautiful scientist assistant - Samara (Tanushree Dutta).

1800 gaming years ago, Vali and Kali were the two brothers maintaining the balance between Good and Evil in the World. Vali was the protector of the island and representative of the Good, the Kind and the Generous, and the scales were tilted in his favor. He was stronger than his brother Kali. Kali, the evil lord, hated this. He wanted to be all evil and all-powerful. So he attempts to change the world to suit himself, and Vali was betrayed by his own brother.

And now, Kali has come to the island on the trail of a treasure which he knows is buried near the mouth of an old river on this island. The problem is that they don't know this island, and they don't know where the river is. And since the river has dried up, finding it is all the harder. Fortunately for them, and unfortunately for everyone else, Kali and his gang stumble upon one of the kids, Kunal, and take him hostage, and from him, learn out about Ramaa.

Ramaa and the kids come to their friend's rescue, resulting in Kali demanding Ramaa to show him the way to the river, or else.

How will Ramaa get the children out of the gaming world and send them back to the real world? What is the treasure that Kali after? Why has Samara chosen to be on the side of the evil Kali? Will Ramaa prove his worth to Vali, who has laid such a noble responsibility on him. Will Ramaa, with the help of the six kids and Samara, punish the evil Kali?

The film stars Preetika Chawla and Afzaal Khan in their debut film in lead roles. Kay Kay Menon and Nagesh Bhonsle have supporting roles in the film. It also features Shahrukh Khan in a cameo who has a 20-minute role which includes two songs. The film was released on November 19, 2010.

Laali (Preetika Chawla) is one of the biggest Shahrukh Khan fan in the city, she believes that one day she will be his heroine and meet him inperson, although for now she sells flowers on the road to make money for her family, brother (Menon), and boyfriend (Afzaal). One day, while selling flowers, she stops round a car since she hears a voice asking for some flowers, she goes over and finds her idol Shahrukh to be sitting in the front seat. She nearly faints till Shahrukh grabs her and says "Khubsurat Hai Tu". She dies over him and finally meets him, she goes crazy, although nobody believes her, what will she do to prove that she did meet the one and only Shahrukh Khan.
