The release of Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Dil To Baccha Hai Ji' has been preponed to January 26 as filmmaker wants to gift fellow Indians a light hearted romantic movie on Republic Day.
"This is just a little token of love from my side to my fellow Indian on Republic Day. This is why we have decided to release 'Dil...' on Jan 26th now. I hope everyone has a bone-tickling R-Day," said the National Award winning director in a statement.
The film, starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Shruti Hassan, Shazahn Padamsee and Shraddha Das, was originally slated for a January 28 release.
Bhandarkar, who is known for his realistic and hard-hitting films like 'Page 3' and 'Fashion', is making a foray into the genre of comedy with this film.
'Dil To...' is a slice of life film about three men and their encounters with love.
"This is the first time that I am making a slice of life romantic comedy and I hope as people loved my earlier films, they will definitely accept this movie too. The way 'Dil...' has shaped up I am sure it will be a treat to watch," added Bhandarkar.
Struggling to cope with modern women and contemporary relationships, these three men go through a fun filled roller coaster ride of emotions with its constant highs and lows that usually accompany love.
"Dil to Baccha Hai Ji is a film for one and all. The youth will relate to it very well, all the three characters are drawn up fabulously. It is a comedy with a soul, the subtle, intelligent sense of humour simply can't go amiss. I can trust this one to touch everyone," said Ajay Devgn.
