Kate Garraway feeling the strain?

Pregnant GMTV presenter Kate Garraway looked to be feeling the strain yesterday as she was spotted out in London.

The 41-year-old’s unkempt hair and washed-out complexion was a million miles away from her usual groomed appearance.

Miss Garraway, dressed in a pink and purple smock with black leggings and a white cardigan, appeared to be in desperate need of a good night’s sleep.

Perhaps the early mornings on the GMTV set have been taking their toll on the star whose second child is due in August.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star, who has previously admitted that she plans to rush back to work after she gives birth, told the Daily Mail last month that she had been finding her second pregnancy more difficult than her first.

She said: 'I thought I had morning sickness the last time round.

'Now, I realise I didn't even know what the term meant. This time has been horrific. I’ve been throwing up most days.

'I’ve put a healthy amount of weight on, though, because I’m eating huge amounts of food to stave off the nausea.

'I've also been having the most peculiar cravings. Marmite mostly. And beetroot smoothies.'

She has been having a difficult time in recent weeks after it was revealed that her husband Derek Draper had planned to run a smear campaign against Conservative party members with Gordon Brown’s right hand man Damian McBride.

Miss Garraway was said to be horrified by his behaviour and promptly pulled out of a joint television appearance, according to a report in The Guardian.

The couple, who married in 2005, had been due to appear on the forthcoming series of All Star Mr & Mrs.

'We were in talks about them appearing on the show, but we have been informed that they no longer wish to do so,' confirmed a spokesman for ITV.

Miss Garraway and psychotherapist Draper - a former Labour spin doctor - have been married for four years.

They already have one daughter, three-year-old Darcey.
